I need information on how to replace the ignition lock cylinder in a 1969
beetle when the key will not work. Thank You

Post to these newsgroups instead;

Briefly, the steering wheel and turn signal switch come off.
Then you can get at the lock. In an extreme case, you may
have to drill the cylinder out as well.

Some hints here:

Be very careful with the horn ring. Note where all the screws, etc. go.
Set the steering wheel to dead ahead before removing. Needs 27mm socket.
