Hi all, just in case I missed any replies from my last attempt for help to
solve a problem with my 2001 ford escort. I think that there is a problem
with the immobiliser as the car will not turn over and I can't hear the fuel
pump energising, but there is power elsewhere. The patch light on the dash
is flashing rapidly when I turn the ignition key, so all points to the damn
immobiliser. Has anyone any info. on how I can repair or bypass it so I can
use the car.

Regards.

Mojo.

Non starter, car not moving... sounds like the immobilizer is working!

But seriously, I would check the fuel pump relay, might be stuck open?
I had to replace mine for the opposite reason, stuck closed. The
only way to turn off the fuel pump was to disconnect the battery.
