No signal to RDS 7000 radio

Hi, my RDS 7000 radio/cd player is working and plays cds etc, however its not picking up any radio signal, ive removed it to make sure that the radio cable is attached which it is. Does anyone know of this issue, i dont know wether it could be a lose connection somewhere or if my radio unit is broken?
