Broken valve why?

Well the head and piston have some little indents and scratches but no cracks These diesel piston are very heavy and have a thick crown So I think I can still use them I ll replace of course the broken valve and all off the lifters I ll also check if the pressure control valve inside the oil pump isn t stuck I ve a spare pump of a tdi engine which should work have to check the part

No only the automatic transmissions need resetting The manual transmission is not that smart ; Are you losing the pink coolant? Did the Engine Check Light come on? Check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes stored in the computer Did you check the condition of the spark plugs and the air filter? Maybe the fuel filter is partially clogged? Maybe the fuel pressure regulator is leaking?

Peter covered this all I vote you examine that Timing Belt well since it might have only lost some teeth throwing the camshaft timing off I have seen this too many times ; How old is it anyway? You need spark while cranking and not just when you only turn on the ign Are the spark plugs wet when you pull them out? Got compression? later One out of many daves <pfjw@a
