how to put a crusie control system of a 98 malibu in a 97 ma

i just bought a totaled 98 malibu for the engine to replace in my 97 malibu and noticed that it had cruise control on it and mine dont so i wanted to put it on my car as i do the engine swap does anyone know if this is possible and how i go about doin it

I'm not sure on cars this new but I've but CC on many others. Since
the two cars are very similar it should be easy though. trace all the
wiring and make sure there is a similar location on your car as on the
donor car. Some connect to the ECM, some to the speedo to get speed
readings. Then take all the parts off and install on the new car. I'd
do some research too via parts stores/sites to see if the parts that
the CC connects to are the same with or without CC and are the same
for both years. Example. if there is a connection to the speedo, are
there different speedos for those years or with CC.
My guess is it can be done easy, hopefully someone out here already
did it.
