.... that go over the fuel line connector at the gas tank connection ?
They are very hard to get on and don't seem to do much, but there must
be a reason for them. Anyone know what it is ?

They are there as a safety measure. In case the clips in the connection
fail. They DO NOT hold the connection together.

draw your own conclusions....

Yea, I don't see how they hold the connection together. The
connection seems pretty good without them. I had a heck of a time
separating the connection until I got the proper tool. So what do
they do ?

I thought Steve was pretty clear, but they are a secondary connection in
case the spring locks fail.

Sometimes the truth isn't the answer people are looking for. I guess that's
how a sack of shit like Kerry was almost elected...... by saying what people
want to hear.

1999 F350 Leaking brake line - Hello all, I have an 1999 F350 4x4 V10 gas dually long bed. The metal brake line that runs to the rear wheels is very rusty and has a pin hole leak that is roughly underneath the driver door. I have several questions. Why is the brake line so rusty...

Fuel Filter - I want to change out the fuel filter in my 1995 F-150 4x4. I noticed that the filter has a clip on each end. Do you remove the filter by removing the clips and pulling the gas line off of each end. I would appreciate any help or advice.
