Hi all,
got a '93 F-150. Am considering doing the following:
- replacing the current under-the-rail bed liner with a rubber mat and
tailgate mat. I don't like bedliners, and I'm thinking that a mat would
provide better resistance to cargo slipping all around.
- removing the front window from my fiberglass cap, and installing one
of those bellows things so that a) my back window wouldn't be
uncleanable b) it'd be easier to see out the rear, as currently I'm
looking through three thicknesses of tinted glass and c) actually make
the sliding window somewhat useful.
- getting a toolbox that fits in the bed. When I bought the truck it
had a nice diamond plate box but it won't fit with the cap installed.
I'd like either a chest type thing that I could put up front or else a
wheelwell type box just to keep a basic amount of tools, tie downs, etc.
in the truck without having to keep them in the cab. However, I'm not
having much luck finding anything like that.
anyone have any specific recommendations? I'll probably be ordering
online as I don't really have any local stores that carry this type of
stuff (live in suburban hell.)
thanks,
nate
