A 1993 Lplate that was on Ebay. My bid went in to late and I missed it.
But I contacted the seller and explained and said if the winner backs
out I'll match it.

He is emigrating to Australia on Saturday and needs to shift it.
The winner emailed him and said "Can I back out. I've found a better 9-5
on autotrader and bought it".

The car was bought from Richard Elliot at Saabtec and he was going to
buy it back if it didn't sell. So now I need to shift my old Toyota
Celsior. Can't have two huge fuel chugging monsters.

Note to self: It is a manual, you haven't driven one for a year.

Oh yes. Now, do you know anyone who wants to buy a Japanese 4 litre
planet killing S class beater for £800?

That is the plan. I have lots of photos of it.
Either that or see if the local "Cars bought for cash" place will have
it. The boss drives a LS400.

He had his for sale for £2500. If he will give me £500-600, knowing he
will punt it out for £1200 (about right for the age/model/condition) the
Aero will have cost me just a couple of hundred.

And it us up-spec, not down spec. UK/US models never got electric
adjust/heated/massage seats in the rear, or their own full aircon system
totally seperate to the front.

I always had a superstitious hatred of green cars.
But I just couldn't resist it.

Just hope I don't run over a black cat on the way home.

Same colour as my 9k cse, eucalyptus green. Also found on 900 from that
year, but not used by saab at later MY AFAIK. An eucalyptus is inevitably
a K or an L.

I doubt there will be many Fiats alive from that vintage. My 1993 CSE still
looks and drive like new.

Indeed it is.
I have a superstition about green cars, but something drew me to this
one, not just the cheap price.

Need to sort out that scabby wheel arch so it doesn't disappear in a
pile of rust, but the rest seems solid.
