1/8 mile - 660' WHEN?

All the deaths and almost all the big explosions come at the 1,000' to the
finish line. When will NHRA think of safety and make the races 1/8 mile.

I have a dragster and run 1/8 mile at short tracks and there is no problem
with it. The TF and FC run 280 MPH at the 1/8th now and only pick up 30-50
in the last 660'. All the excitement is over in the first half.

How many tracks have seating at the 1/4 mile finish line.... VERY FEW! The
crowd would see the race much better and it would be safer.

I hear the drivers complaining about 1/8th mile racing, that's because they
can't drive.
