I have a 1993 festiva. It overheated and now when I try to start it it
turns over, won't start and shoots water out of the overflow bottle. Can
anyone help?

you either warped the head or blew out the head gasket.
the pressure from one of the pistons is going thru the breeched gasket
and pressurizing the water jacket with each stroke.
no doubt, you probably have water in your oil too now. if not your lucky.
you need the head taken off, a new gasket, the head shaved and checked,
and the crankcase and water jacket flushed.

Lucky for you, its not a hard job to do if you have the tools.
a garage is prolly gonna rape you raw over labor.

good luck.... I had one do that too, water spurting out the radiator
top..... sad and funny all at the same time.
