need help figuring out a problem

i dont know much about cars, but ill try to explain this the best i can. when im driving my car , its a 95 oldsmobile cutlass ciera it idles fine but when driving it bogges and looses power after the gears change and i have to push the pedal down to get the power back, and when im slowing down to stop the car shakes and makes a grinding noise in the front which sounds like its coming from the drivers side. any help with this would be great. thanks
