Post subject: need help badly on 89 nissan maxima

| i dont know where to begin or what i'm talking about probabily,, but my car when it rains out starts to stall on me,, well i tuned it up, and then it started working again in the rain,, well now it seems like it's back after only a few weeks. it hasnt stalled it only wants too, but it stays running,,, now when i fill my gas tank up, some gas will leak out.. me an my dad were thinking could water be getting in there? i don't know, its not fun right now... thanks

get a new original equipment distributor cap and rotor and all will be well

remove any and all aftermarket ignition parts
i.e
distributor car
rotor
plug wires
if the spark plugs are not NGK they need replacing too
Then you need to go buy factory Nissan OEM parts.
To fix the fuel leak you need to buy the rubber vent hose that connects the
filler neck to the tank, this is a common problem on older Max;s

i replaced the ignition coil, and the rotor cap, and the spark plugs are bosch(i believe its called), i just replaced them all,,wires included, oil change, gas cap, air filter,,, but i am going to my machanic tomm, and i will def ask him if i should get factory maxima parts only. thanks guys i really appreciate it >> Stay informed about: need help badly on 89 nissan maxima |

bosch plugs are the worse you could have used, its likely the cause of the
problem, get some ngk and yul be set
