Post subject: I need help with a 1987 integra....

I was driving my integra when it just died. I waited about 5 minutes and it restarted. I drove for about a mile and it died again. Both times it would crank but not fire. I checked for spark by removing the coil wire and within about 15 minutes the car started again. This time it went 3 miles. I brought it home via tow truck and replaced the fuel filter, cap and rotor. I started the car and let it run for about an hour. It ran the whole time. I then drove it around the neighborhood and still had no problem with it dieing. I was thinking that it might be the stator i.e. that it would heat up and then fail, once cooling it would work enough to start the car. But after running the car for that period of time, I am not so sure that it wasn't a piece of debris floating in the filter. Anyone have any ideas what this might be? Thanks Mike
