Post subject: fuel gauge

hey guys I have a 84 chevy 4x4 and it has a draw on the battery.

so my question is the power to the gas gauge all the time or only when key
is on.....??????
cause when I did pull the gas gauge out of the cluster the draw went
away....

strange huh
