Fuel float in the carburetor, or fuel float on the gas gauge sender
arm in the tank? The carb float is almost certainly available through
a dealer at the parts counter - have you tried? They might have to
order it in from a regional warehouse, which only takes a day or two.

For the gas tank, you are better off getting a complete sender,
because the rheostat for the gas gauge is 30 years old, and they do
wear out. (Up, down, up, down, up, down...)

Fuel door - My 2004 DC Tacoma didn't come with a locking fuel door or gas cap. What's up with that? I thought that was a pretty standard feature anymore, but I should have looked closer when I was buying so I could tell them to install the lock cylinder in the door...

Type of Fuel - My neighbor and myself had a discussion last evening, she owns a 2003 Camry, 4 cyl. and I just bought the 2005 Tacoma sr5 access cab, 4 cyl., she asked what kind of gas I put in the truck I told her Regular unleaded like my book says, but she puts in..

Fuel Considerations - After reading some posts on high mileage Toyotas, I wanted to write this, and it just got longer and longer. Let us play with some math, by defining the following definitions: mpg = miles per gallon (m/g) c = cost per gallon (c/g) m = miles g = gallon...

03 Tundra fuel gauge - Driving from 9000 feet in altitude down to 7000 feet, my fuel gauge slowly went from 3/4 to zero and then slightly below zero in less than 3 miles. After doing this twice, it finally settled back to 3/4 full. Anyone experience this event?

Landcruiser fuel economy? - Does anyone know what I can do to improve the fuel economy of my 82 landcruiser? I have rebuilt the carb twice and that gave me about 5 to 6 miles per gallon. This is a used vehicle for me so I don't really know what I should get for economy. Any ideas o...
