Learned a new one today.

Seems some folks are putting high reserves on cars. They figure no one will meet the reserve and they can then call the highest bidder and negotiate a price and avoid paying eBay fees on the sale. It's sort of like raising the price 25% and discounting the item 15%.

What do you do on ebay when..... - someone bids high to find out your reserve, then retracts the bid? Heck, I'd tell anyone who asked but what is the advantage of bidding then retracting? John
