6 - Use 12x1.50mm 60° taper seat nuts.

5x114.3 indicates 5 lug holes, 114.3mm apart. 12x1.50 is the lug nut
ID.Thread. +45 is the wheel offset, 15x6.5=15" diameter, 6.5" wide. The
other numbers I don't know off the top of my head. 4,6 are 'Notes' 4 + 6
posted above.

I run 16" summer tires on my 2000 Camry and 15" Blizzaks on their own rims
in the winter. As you noted, mileage may be off slightly but the lug pattern
is critical, but it works for me.

Since your car has 16 on it, there is a good chance that the brakes are
designed with a 16" diameter, and the 15" rims will not fit.

Having said that, if the car takes 15s as stock tires for any of the various
models that the car comes in, then the 15" rims should fit in place of the
16 inch rims that are part of an upgrade options package3.

The 215/65x15 should be within a cat's whisker of being the same overall
diameter as the 215/60x16. As a practicle matter, you won't know the
difference by watching the speedometer or the odometer.

You must be having a brain fart, that's not right at all.

215 is the cross sectional width
60 is the percentage of the width that is the hieght of the sidewall. 60% of
215 is sidewall.

There is no way to put 15 inch tires on 16 inch rims, or vice versa, but you
said that ...

I think you are right on with respect to 16's being the only size for
the 2007 camry ... from what I've found all models come with 16"
wheels and upon a visual inspection of the caliper clearance on the
front there doesn't seem to be a lot of room to spare so I bet the 15
either won't fit or will have a very narrow clearance. So I'm going
to wait and try and get a set of used 16" steel wheels.

You are right on the point. Thank you for making it clear to all since
my definition was not very good. I didn't use any measurement units on
the first part, to show how they would relate to each other. A tire is
a 3dimensional object, the term diameter and cross sectional width
will ultimately refer to each other as diameter means " a straight
line passing from end to end of any figure or body, through its
center." And for the sidewall, others call it thickness, some call it
profile, manufacturers refer to them as aspect ratio, they are all the
same.

But no need to use harsh words here. Did you see me call you fart
brain when you misspelled height.

ONE MORE THING ...
There is a placard affixed to the door jamb or glovebox door that tells the
tire pressures. This placard will also give the wheel size options. The
owner's manual should also list the wheel options. If 15 is a wheel option,
then you can put 15s on your car with winter tires mounted.

In your example, 215 is width, 60 is aspect ratio (which is sidewall height
in English). I guessed you knew this, but merely slipped a cog in your
