I have a 64 Taveco motor home on a 63 dodge truck chaise and am having
problems with the brake system. question? Is it possible to update the
entire brake system to something more modern.

instead of having the traditional brake booster master cylinder combination
up at the brake pedal assy. there are a set of twin bake boosters back
along the frame on the drivers side. can all this be replaced with a
traditional booster/cylinder system?

reply to yohanus.DeleteThis@dslextreme.com please

Yes, and no. The question is not "Can it be done?", but "how much
do you want to spend?"
Usually the brake booster was placed under the floor to save space
under the hood. In later years, dodge solved that by mounting the
MC/Booster at right angles to the firewall, and used a bell crank for
actuation.
Start by looking in the street rod catalogs. You'll find all kinds
of cool parts there to solve all kinds of problems. You may want to
keep the booster where it is, but change the pedal set up. There's also
a remote booster available that can be mounted just about anywhere you
want.
However, you may find that the MC/Booster is pretty efficient, and
spending big bux to modernize it won't change much. Focus on a 4 wheel
disc arrangement, with multiple caliper pistons. Vented discs with
proper cooling ducts and carbon fiber pads will make a huge improvement;
especially on those long down hill slides.

My problem is that I have twin boosters mounted behind and underneath the
driver on the frame. And they are not mounted on the MC as done
traditionally.
And four wheel disk is way out of the question although would be really
great. muter home is on a 2 ton dually chaise and do not really care to
change all the leaf springs, axles ect.. but I appreciate the advise
