I just converted my 1970 mini 1000 to autobox. I'm not sure what kind
of engine oil/ATF normally use by mini autobox. Are they sharing same
engine oil like manual?

Yes they do. This makes the grade of oil (and the oil level) quite
critical. Remember that it was designed for 20w50 oil originally, so
using a different grade will affect the performance of the autobox - and
the Mini's autobox is not very good to start with.
Also if the engine oil level drops too low you will lose drive, so be
sure to keep it topped up!
