Hello all!

I'm in Australia and am a keen XJ40 owner Have also been a longstanding 420
owner. Have had a few electrical adventures with both. Now have a clunk in
the rear offside of the XJ40 that I'm planning to tackle. You still around
Webserve (my optimistic friend "should only take minute or two..."!)?

Well I might not be Clark, but I do know you need to check your
dampeners.

First inspect your exhaust for looseness, then proceed to inspect your
dampeners for leaks, and worn end-bushings. I personally had a shock
with an internal problem that would make a "Thud" on fast dips. I
replaced the shocks and the noise vanished.

HTH,
BD

Thanks for reply. I was in direct touch with him, but he does not reply
now. Do you know what's happened to him?
