Point of fact - I owned a Buick Park Avenue Ultra with a supercharged 3.8L
V-6. I put over 225,000 miles on that car in complete luxury, and it easily
rolled its way down the interstate at over 30mpg. Around town the car got
24mpg. Talk about fast... the supercharged 3.8 was just fast. Great car.
But of course, it was one of those "boats"...

What does this have to do with the ETA 78?
"Why should the rest of America pay for your overconsumption of gas? So
what if you have the money, you anti-americanism stinks."
Or this?
"No one needs a crew-cab V8 with 8ft bed or
dualie to get groceries or drive to the office. Same for Hummers, same
for Navigators, same for blah blah blah. But, people can do whatever
they want with their money. If you can afford it, good for you. Don't
screw the rest of the American populous in the interim with you
obsession with waste and consumerism. Exxon is happy that you've
helped them break a global record for profit on gas this past year.
Yay for you. May the Arab Oil Czars put their blessing on you and your
family. Allah Ahkbar."
You simply think that your vehicle is the gold standard for what fuel
mileage should be and anyone who drives a vehicle that gets less mileage
than your current vehicle is wasteful.
I'm simply pointing out your elitism and hypocrisy. I'm sorry it
stings, but sometimes that is the way the truth is.

You may have made that comment in jest, but exactly that was suggested by a
writer to the Editor of the Hartford Courant. Inspired by a couple of
recent articles about farmland being developed and lack of starter houses, a
writer suggested that couple with no children be made to move from their
large homes so others with greater need for space for families can take them
over. Older couples should move to a condo or small apartment. >> Stay informed about: Wow! How about that new Genesis! |

I saw it at the Detroit Auto Show and was impressed by the interior but
prefer the Azera's exterior. If it came down to the two I think I would
chose the Azera as it would be more than adequate for my needs and
probably 5k cheaper, although who knows what the price of the 6 cyl.
will be (perhaps equal to the Azera but that wouldn't make much
marketing sense to me. On the other hand I would also test drive the
Genesis and then who knows????

Well jp thanks for the answer but my question was just a little sarcastic
question seeing as how the thread was getting a little off course of the
original question. I'm personally waiting for Hyundai to come out with a
super car the size of a 59' Caddy that only gets 3 1/2 miles to the gallon.
I of course cant afford the car let alone the gas for it but hell I dont
want to be the only person in the world thats not in debt up to my eyeballs.
I figured it out and my 34 room house will be paid for by the time my great
great great great grandson is about 137 years old but HELL I cant take it
with me and so far neither can he.

Yeah, but you will be happy with the Sonata. Its V6 version is one of the
smoothest powerplants I have ever heard in a car. Plenty of power and
beautiful to drive.
This is a car company that really needs to be watched. They seem to be
doing a lot of things right.
