Post subject: Type 2 (Bus) rear wheel bearing removal

Has anyone removed the rear wheel bearings from a 1977 Bus rear
suspension? Can you tap out the old bearings or do you need a puller
to get them out?

Look for: Bearing replacement on the IRS rear axle.
The Type 2 is simialr, only bigger.

Yes, you can drive the old bearings out.

Rear Wheel Bearing Frustration - Hello all, I have been struggling with my right rear wheel bearing. The inner bearing came out no problem with only a hammer and improvised drift. The outer bearing is not coming so easily. Speedy Jim's website makes it sound like it should come out..
