i'm having trouble finding information about how to time the
crankshaft when the cam pulleys are in line with the marks. there is
no mark on the engine against which to time the crank shaft... does
anyone have an idea of how to go about getting something or what to do
to improvise? i am currently having the head reworked and i don't want
to bend the valves again by incorrectly timing the engine. ANY info
about timing the dual overhead cam engine would be greatly
appreciated. thanks

Also check the gearbox bell housing. You may find a blanking plug/hole
(about 25mm by 15mm) where you can view the flywheel. You might find timing
marks here as well.
