Strut Assembly Diagram

Does anyone have an exploded view diagram of the front strut assembly
for a 1973 Superbeetle? I am rebuilding mine, but it looks like the
previous owner didn't put them back together properly. I have the VW
Service manual (made by Bentley), but it only has a diagram of the
assembled strut...doesn't help me figure out the order of parts for
reassembly.

Or as an alternative, can anyone list the order of parts to reassemble?

Is it the early or late suspension? A '73 could have either one.

This is the early 3-bolt strut:

I'm not familiar enough with the 2-bolt struts to know if the upper portions
are the same.
