Anyone out there have a Sterling? I almost bought one a few years ago, and
kinda kick myself from time to time for not grabbing it.

Sharp car also called Nova - see

regrets over not buying 2 Avenger GT40s -- one with Corvair conversion other
vintage VW. Both were ratty and needed to be towed home and totally
restored --- but both for $1600. It would surely have cost a marriage
though - hence my foot dragging. I would have painted one red and other
royal blue with dual wide white stripes. With recent resurgence of interest
in the Ford GT40 they would look sharp in drive!

I had one back in college, circa 1990. I think I paid $3300 for it. Sold
it a couple years late for about the same price. Lots of fun. Biggest
problem was on sunny days I had to lift the roof 6 inches at every stop
light or I was roasted while waiting for the light to turn green. A
couple of times I was pulled over by cops for no other reason than they
wanted to look at it. Observed that white people would turn and look at
it, black people would point.

They show up a couple of times a month on ebay, go to ebay motors and
then scroll down the "browse cars by make" until you see replica/kit
Makes.
