It's 3am & the insistent bleating of my New Beetle's panic alarm gradually awakens me. I look in the driveway - nothing. The pattern repeats at 4:15am. This time I stumble out the door, bat in hand (you never know...), and check things over close-up. No forced entry signs (the car wasn't even locked), nothing to indicate it's been disturbed. I sit in the front seat & press the unlock button on my key. BEEP... BEEP... BEEP... Nothing shuts it off except the 30 second time limit. The manual goes no clue.
