Post subject: Rear Passenger Window

Ok. I have a 97 Chevy Malibu. And in the driver door it has switches for all 4 windows. My rear pass. window wont go down or up with that switch. But will go up and down with the switch on the rear pass door. Switch problem?!?

Most probably. The only other thing it could be is a broken wire.

Maybe someone here knows how yo remove the switch plate so you can
check for a loose or broken connection.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

Ok i removed the switch panel thing. And i see wires. and the rear driver side has 3 wires BUT the rear pass which is the problem has 4 wires... Is there a diagram that anybody knows or can show me?!?!

Take out the switch, spray the heck out of it with WD-40, shake it dry, put
it back in and try it. From experience with my 2000, this will last about 6
months. Then just clean it again.
By the way - if the clips that hold the switch panel in are now broken, 1
drop of krazy glue at each end of the panel will hold it in, but still allow
it to be popped out for future cleanings/service.

Look here too......Open the door and look between the hinges there is a rubber boot from the body to the door,pull the boot back,if there are any broken wires it will be there being these wires flex with the opening and closing of the door.
