I took a few pictures today after doing a 'Parslow' and successfully
removing the body and had fun doing it.
http://www.tomnoller.com/Champion.html
Will get my rebuilt engine back from a neighbors and drop it in soon,
along with the 3-sp/OD and it should be a fun driver. Sure have my work
'cut out' for me with the floors.

Good for you! I'm glad you, "Had fun doing it!"

I enjoy the finished product, but the, "doing it," in my memory, is a lot
more work than fun! <G>

Looking good!

What you are doing is far more impressive than those of us that freshen
up a solid car with paint and interior work, good job.

Cool, Tom! Congrats on the work to date. Nice looking frame and running
gear as to not having been compromised by rust.
What color is it gonna be? Is it stick, overdrive, or automatic?

OOPs, 'just read the balance of the post and saw the overdrive
mentioned. 'Too focused on the photos!

It will be a fun driver with that combination, no matter how expensive
gas gets. (But it was "down" to $1.54 at WalMart in Avon IN yesterday
afternoon.). BP

Count your blessings! I've been paying anywhere from $2.10 to $2.30
here (premium, but still...)

Thanks for the encouragement!
Actually, this is going to be a 'what-the-heck-is-THAT' car when I get it
on the road. (Notice I didn't say 'finished'...who ever is?) <G>
The fenders of the 55 were so rusty and the hood was shot, so I decided to
use the front end of a 57 Champion I took apart and saved. You can see the
hood hanging on the shop wall behind the frame in the pic. A 57 face & a
55 rear.
Was planning a black & cream combo of colors.
I'd given a neighbor my rebuilt flathead 6 for helping me install a water
heater and replaced that six in my Lark with a 259-T86 combo. The 6 was in
the way in the shop. Turns out he doesn't need the engine, and when I get
the T85OD going in the pickup (shown very dusty in that pic) I'll retreive
it. Too many projects! <G>

Tom
That's the great thing about this hobby, when I was younger, I'd done
a few cars like your, but even back than, I would have likely passed on
a sedan. We need more sedans restored, if there were only guys like me,
there'd be none left.<g> Lee D. has the Larks covered, nice to see
someone else is doing the earlier cars, and they are starting to get
more attention.

.. A 57 face & a 55 rear.

And a 56 year old driver in the middle, right? <g>

Glad to see the 'Parslow' method worked for ya! It sure worked great for me
in such a tight space!

Damn, even in SC where we're normally the cheapest gas in the country I've
only seen it drop to $1.69 over the weekend.
