Wintertime, maybe a month. I would put a glaze by 3M (Perfect-It 3000 Final
Glaze) on it rather than wax to begin.

What kind of finish was used?

Acrylic Enamel, Urethane, Acrylic Urethane?

With Urethanes, you can wash the day you get the vehicle back, with Acrylic
Enamel wait a week.

Waxing, wait a month with any new finish. Even there was a catalyst, there
is always solvent movement under the surface for at least a month.

That would be on Acrylic Enamel or Lacquer:

The newer Urethanes and Acrylic Urethanes Catalyze from the bottom out. So
rarely have any solvent entrapment. A month is more than enough.
