Post subject: Overdrive not working
Archived from groups: alt>autos>dodge>trucks (more info?)

1995 Ram Club Cab 5.9 automatic 4x4, the overdrive stopped working the other
day, the light on the button still works but the overdrive will not engage.

What to look for????? Any help is appreciated.

My overdrive quit and it was a bad speed sensor.

a list of items that can cause od not to work

tps, brake switch, coolant temp sensor, trans temp sensor, crank sensor,
vehicle speed sensor, od solenoid, valve body wiring, connector for valve
body wiring external of trans., seals in transmission, pcm,
