I've heard it's a good bit better now...but it's also a good bit more
expensive. Not quite the economic choice it used to be.

The old Malibus were from 1997 to 2003, a long
time.
I've heard the new Malibus use electric servo for
the power steering and it is subject to failure.
I saw a new Malibu the other day, and it had water
sloshing around in the tail light .... not encouraging.
