Lights on dash coming on on there own?.

Hi all my 1992 9000 2ltrT lights come on on there owm, ive had this fault
in the past and changed the relay bemeath the bonnet.
This time the day running lights on the dash and trip computer are dim,
the head lights come on on there own, if a turn the engine off it runs for
a few seconds take the key out and the instument panel flickers on bringing
headlights on at the same time. Ive taken out the relay beneath the bonnet,
this has stopped headlights coming on as circuit is broken but other faults
are still there. gonna check relay and fuse box, and wires behing glove
tomorrow but any help would be great. thanks
