best carb for a 383 stroker - Just got my '68 Camaro back from my engine builder, I had a 383 stroker built, w/flat top pistons, dyno'd last week at 347 hp. Right now it has an Edelbrock carb on it, my mechanic didn't have much luck getting it set right when running under a load,....

installing an intake gasket in a 2.8, have some questions. - All of the pushrods go through the gasket..would you slice the gasket since that part is not used anyway, or would you pull out all of the pushrods? Would you use any high tack, Permatex, or silicone on the gasket? I know that I have to gob on the..

I plan to dump the oil and refill it with clean oil, start it up and run it for 10-15..

89' w/2.8 fixed intake leak but now back together, no fire - I got the intake leak all fixed up, got all of the valves adjusted, made darn sure that when #1 was on top that the rotor pointed to #1 wire, I rolled the motor over with the coil wire off to circulate the new oil to flush some contaminates, the coil..

89 RS w/2.8 blown head gasket, will a 3.4 bolt right in? - We have an 89 with a 2.8 that just blew a head gasket. The motor only has 78K on it and I know that it needs valve seals as well. The oil looks like mud and the dipstick is a little blue, but who knows, it may have always been blue?? I'm faced with..
