| Thinking of obtaining another vehicle in addition to the 2002 Sonata LX.
Anyone have any thoughts about comparing Hyundai to Kia? Price,
features and hardiness are all important. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like Kia and Hyundai have similar models
and about the same warrantee. Our Sonata has been reliable to the point
of being boring when compared to our Ford. >> Stay informed about: Hyundai v Kia |

Is not a wagon. It's a hatch so it has a high liftover and a slanted
back. I wish the Elantra wagon still existed as I have seen around in
from previous years. Compare the current Elantra to the Kia Spectra
if you need pictures.

I know, I own one. A Midnight Blue Elantra GLS hatch
Kia has a wagon or two in their stable. Nothing that I'd own, tho.

I hear remarks like those of Jody and having worked in the auto industry with Nissan for years, I looked at several non-Nissans and purchased Hyundais in the past. In my opinion Hyundais are good but not great cars. I currently own a Kia Optima V6 and it is a much better car than the Sonata. Hands down. Short term reliability reports in JD Powers do not impress me. Nor do car reviews that are backed by advertising. I belong to another forum that is far more into Kia loyalty and I'm telling you that my experience with Kia has been excellent. I will buy another Kia. Kia has spunk. Hyundai is boring although I like the new Sonata.
Kia and Hyundai are the same company with different personalities. That is good for both companies and their customers. Kia is Europe's fastest growing auto company for good reasons. It will also open a car factory probably in Mississippi within the next two years. I enjoy working with Kia and am extremely pleased.
Either way, Kia and Hyundai are finally making quality cars. Let's all be happy with that. >> Stay informed about: Hyundai v Kia |
