Post subject: Jetta Blinker Noise

I have a 2004 VW Jetta that makes an annoying blinker-like noise frequently and at random. Seems to come from the same place as the blinker sounds. Any ideas?

Fast blinker turn signal, 2000 jetta - Back in the old'en days, there was a little capacitor in the turn signal circuit which, when it went bad, the turn signal would flash very fast. Replace the capacitor, all is well. I have a 2000 VR6 with this problem and in looking through the service..
