Can someone advise where the fuel filter is located on a 2001 QX4? Is
there more than one filter? Easy to get to?

Thank you. MC

If its like the '02 Pathfinder, look underneath, in the middle, just forward
of the rear axle. If you drop the spare, its pretty easy to get to it.

But be careful, the gas on the engine side is under pressure, and you'll get a
a fair amount of loose gas. Do it out side, no smoking,

If you pull the fuel pump fuse and try to start the car first. That will
relieve the pressure.

Even after relieving the pressure, gas will still run out the hoses. I
found it helpful to have a couple of fat pencils to stick in the ends of the
hoses when you get the filter off. Less gas dripping in your face that way.

Best way to relieve all the pressure:

1. Do the job 1st thing in the morning if you can before you 1st drive
the car.

2. relive what little fuel pressure is left by pulling the feul pump
fuse and attempting to start the car several times, as suggested before.

These 2 procedures together will make the greatest difference.

And pull the gas cap to relieve the pressure in the tank, and best to start with a nearly empty
tank.
