Hello and greets all,

....Where oh where to begin...

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a Countach replica. After almost 2 months of
searching, I don't think there's one website dealing with Countaches that I haven't
been to, in my pursuit of finding a decent replica. Some of the more significant
sites (or info) I've found are:

Prova
Lamberti
Parallel Designs
Mirage Replicas

These companies do (or did at one time) produce Countaches. Yet, email these folks as
many times as you want from the 'contact us' page and you never seem to get a reply.

I've been to lamborghinireplica.com. There are always a few Countach replicas for
sale or trade there, but frankly, most of them look terrible and wouldn't pass an
inspection at 100 feet from even an amateurs's eye.

I've been to sites like www.kitcars.com. There, you may actually be lucky enough to
find something very close to what you're looking for. Only problem is the guy will be
located something like 15,000 miles away (relative to the US) halfway around the
world in the Middle East or something and you can find no shipping companies to get
from "here to there."

So what do I mean by a "decent" Countach? A countach that is about 99.9%
indistinguishable from the original (not counting the engine and the like).
It seems to me that the greatest supercar ever made is not just going to fade into
history and become dust in the wind. The companies I listed above have all made very
decent Countaches at one time or another. Where are they now? Where are their cars?

It's looking more and more like I'm going to have to go out on a limb, a very THIN
limb, and actually buy an original Countach, although this is going to break the
bank, put me in debt, and maybe even get me into a heap of trouble with financing and
enormous operating and maintenance expenses. I will not be denied my favorite
supercar of all time, the only one car I've every really wanted. Is this what I'll
have to resort to? If you can, someone please help. Any info much appreciated.
Thank you.

MJ

Have you ever sat in a real Countach? They were my favorite cars of all
time too untill I sat in a *real* one one day. I did not fit! I'm 6'3" -
my knees were *against* the dash & my head was *against* the roof (I
actually could not sit with my head straight)! Really bummed me out...
