Hi guys,
I wanted to ask about my hydraulic clutch.... Is it supposed to have only
two or three inches of engagement, or is mine just messed up? I put in a
new slave cylinder finally, from the advice I got from the previous owner,
but nothing has changed. After I bled the lines, still the same ole two or
three inches of depression is all the action I get. That is, from the floor
board. I can't afford to go over thirty mph downshifting from 4th to 3rd
gear, or I'll grind 3rd something awful. If I take my time and shift
slowly, it's usually ok though. The other gears?, well, as long as I don't
shift hard, it's nice and smooth, but I can still feel it catch into gear a
tad, even with the clutch depressed all the way.
Any help would be deeply appreciated,
PaL

Is your clutch pedal above, or below the level of your brake pedal?
(obviously, when they're both just sitting there!)

My clutch cable sits just a little bit higher than my brake pedal.
