Post subject: Floor pan welding

Hello from a newbie!

I am trying to replace my floorpans by myself (never done this before) and I have a few questions.

I have the pans out and I am going to have to grind off the old welds to make a nice flush fit. I have a few questions:
1)Is there any way to seal the spots between the welds so that moisture cannot get into the little gap betwwen the pan and the lip on the chassis?
2) How many welds are needed for a secure, safe installation?
3) What other jobs should I be considering since I have the body off the chassis? (Its a dune buggy, so the removing the body part is not a huge task)

Pedal goes to floor! - I just did a conversion to disk brakes (rear brakes only-this is a sandrail) I'm using the CNC pedal kit. I've bled the air out of the lines, and still don't have any pedal feel, or braking. If I pump the brakes 3-4 times, I get a good feel out of the....

Floor pan replacement, part 2 - Okay guys, I appreciate the input on my previous question about floor pans. I think I will relocate the frame to the car, slide in the replacement pans and jacking points and then weld them in after bolting to the body. (Takes care of alignment!)..

hydraulic floor jack servicing? - my trusty old floorjack no longer lifts as high as once it did, also when it reaches the top of its stroke, it rises a bit then falls back some 3mm or so. 1) i want to fix it up, i suppose i'll have to refill the hydraulic fluid (which do i use?) 2) do...
