Hi folks. Lately, my 2001 Silverado (4.8 L) has been blowing warm air
through the vents. The themrmostat dial no longer has any effect on the
temperature, i.e. fully clockwise and fully counter clockwise produces the
same warm (not hot) air. If I turn on the AC, things cool down a bit, and I
can hear the compressor running, but the AC seems unable to overcome the
high temperature. Any imput would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you changes your Cabin Filter behind the glove box recently....

It can & does get plugged.

WIX version of Delco CF-104 is about $18, but difficult to install.

Thanks for suggestion and reply. I discovered the problem was a
disconnected cable beneath dash on right side.
