I replaced the cluthch about 18 months ago- under warranty-FORD also
changed the flywheel FOC- car is out of warranty now and yet again the
flywheel has gone tits up-I am being quoted over 600 quid to replace
clutch and flywheel- the mechanic says you have to have duo mass-
instead of just havin g a normal flywheel- I love the Focus car but I
cnat be spending this sort of money every 1 and half years- it only
has 50 k on the clock
Anyone know if the new Focus has this same problem.
TIA

It's largely widespread, although yours shouldnt have packed up again in
such short order.

Anyhow, depending on engine (I assume you have the 1.8 TDCi) you can replace
the flywheel (AND CLUTCH) with the non-dual mass one from the Di.
