Post subject: Creating an Auto-off headlight circuit in an 88 Spder Veloce
Archived from groups: alt>autos>alfa-romeo (more info?)

Hey all, I typically drive a Honda or Volvo but have been driving a US
spec 88 spider veloce more and more regularly. The Honda and Volvo
both have lights that turn off when you take the key out of the
ignition, so basically you just turn them on and leave them on and
they are on when you drive the car but off when you don't. Safe and
convenient. I can't tell you how many times I've needed a jump in the
alfa b/c I forget that the lights are on. In fact, I think I'v cooked
my regulator, possibly my alternator too, on the last series of dead
battery incidents. Does anyone know if there is a way to move some
circuits and fuses around in the fuse box so I can creat a headlight
circuit that kills the headlights when the key is out of the
ignition?? Thanks in advance for any help or insight! Jimmmy
