Contour/mystique transmission range selector switch.

The OD light has started flashing intermittently on my wife's 96
Mystique. Seems to happen when it's wet out, but cannot be 100% sure -
it has only happened 2 or 3 times, and never when I am around.

I suspect it is the TR switch.
Several other problems have occurred over the last year that are not
fixed yet and I'm wondering if they are related.

The power door locks lock and unlock randomly while driving down the
road - sometimes related to brake application, sometimes not.
Occaisionally after starting, the starter re-engages whoile going
through neutral
When cold last winter the shift interlock would occaisionally fail,
not allowing the shifter to come out of park.

I'm going to order the new switch and put it in, but anyone else have
any of these problems, and did the TR switch fix them????

Not specifically the problems you identified, but my mother's 98
Contour exhibited some strange poltergeist-like electrical symptoms
that were finally resolved with replacement of the switch, so I guess
anything is possible.
