Yeah gasoline you buy at the pump when its 80 degrees outside, is not the
same gasoline you buy when its 32 degrees every where in the country. And
the winter grade delivers less mileage. Your drop is about in line with
what others have reported.
IAC is Idle Air Control Valve and its located on the throttle assembly if
you vehicle has one.
Temperature sensor measures block temperature, located in intake manifold.
Only sensors I know on the side of an engine, knock sensors, and some
vehicles have a crank sensor.
For the sputter/miss I would be looking at plug wires and or plugs
