Post subject: Clock in Grand Marquis
Archived from groups: alt>autos>ford (more info?)

I have a 1993 Grand Marquis.
Since Sunday, my clock is din, not really visible.
At night, I can barely make out enough to tell that it is actually
still
keeping time - it just doesn't display brightly enough to see.

When it first went out, it would go out, come back again, go out, come
back,
and this repeated intermittently for a day or two. Then it went out
totally.

Any ideas what the problem is? From the research I've done, I'm
guessing there's a
light bulb in there that burnt out. If this correct, how can I
replace the bulb?

Will 14" tires fit on my 1999 Grand Marquis? - I've got 4 snow tires (185/70R14). I'm wondering... 1- If I can find wheels with a 5x100 pattern in that size 2- Will I have enough clearance for the brakes. (it's got 225/60R16 now) I know the car will be lowered a little, but I don't want to spend..

Creaky suspension on Grand Marquis - I have a 2000 Grand Marquis with 63K miles, and the suspension makes creaking noises when going over uneven surfaces and speed bumps at low speed. I assume this is from rubber bushings of some sort in the suspension or anti-roll bar(s). Are there..
