Can anyone recommend a brake reliner. I have a '53 Dodge that needs
brakes.

Thanks guys. I have ordered there brake relining kit 3 times and have
yet to receive it. Whe I call to follow up they have no knowledge of
the order. The local NAPA here in NY does not offer the service for
relining.

I guess I will try Kantor again. Maybe I will get lucky.

You can get shoes with new linings from Kanter your 53 Dodge.

Or look in the phone book for a commercial brake and clutch rebuilder. There
is bound to be more than one not too far from you.

Ron, if there is a NAPA parts store they can send yours off to be relined.

I have a shop here in Fort Wayne I use quite a bit for brake relining.
I have yet to find the shoes they cannot handle.

If you strike out and want to ship them out here, I can get them done
for you.

Dwain is right, look for a commercial brake/clutch rebuilder. If your drums
have ever been turned you need the shoes 'arced' to the drums. New or
relined shoes won't match the arc of your drums.

Disc Brake wheels ?? - My 63' Cruiser came equipped with disc brakes from factory. The current owner only has 2 of these wheels and non-stock (6-inch) replacements out back. I have 5 radials on late 70's Ford LTD wheels. Will the disc brakes interfere with those wheels ??
