read somewhere once the front ends are identical.

Probably; however, you can check Colgan's site to confirm.
www.colgancustom.com. They have different stock numbers, but you could
e-mail them and tell them that you already have the '02 Boxster bra and will
it fit the '01, 996. They also have an 800 #.

Thanks. I DID check Colgan and they replied that the 986 bra would not fit
the 996. So much for conventional wisdom.

Yes they are. Should fit fine although I prefer an invisible bra like
Armorfend or Stone Guard
