Post subject: BMW Mini wheels on a Karmann Ghia
Archived from groups: rec>autos>makers>vw>aircooled (more info?)

For some time I have been looking out for alternative wheels to put on
my 69 KG. I can change the discs and drums to allow me to fit 4 stud
100 PCD wheels. As far as I can work out the new Mini wheels are 4 x
100 with 35-45 offset with a 56.1 bore. They come in 15" 5.5j and 16"
5.5j. There are plenty of the 15" 5.5j on ebay as a lot of Mini
drivers seem to change to 17".

Setting aside your aesthetic thoughts, can anyone see any problems in
fitting these to the KG? I am especially interested in trying the 16"
5.5js.

If I had problems with rubbing on the inside, presumably I can put a
spacer in?

Has anyone got any alternative suggestions?

I can also change the stud patten to 5/130, 5/112 or 5/100.

Thanks for any thoughts.

Will
