I recently had to swap out the old OEM alternator on my 2001 Pontiac
Grand Prix GTP. I'm sure most of you could replace an alternator with
your eyes closed but I took pictures of the process and wrote up a
quick guide for the new owners.

The procedure should be very similar on every car that has the GM 3800
Series II engine including the Cadillac sedans.

I hope it helps some of you to save a bit of money. This was my first
time replacing an alternator and it only took about an hour.

Noisey Motor? - I've noticed a rattley noise upon start-up (94 Deville-4.9) I've heard it in other 4.9's also. Is this a "normal" thing for these motors?

Motor mounts busted - I was having the fuel rail replaced per the recall sent out recently. The dealership also said the motor mounts were busted. Is this an urgent concern, and what do these parts range in cost.

antenna motor ?78 deville - i have a 1978 sadan deville w/builk in CB in the radio, and the motor burned out , anyone have any ideawhere i can find one ?? any help would be great thanks jeff
