Air bag light....

I own a 2000 BMW Z3 with 40k miles..Never had a problem until the
other day..Noticed the the air bag light had come on..attempted to
reset by disconnecting the battery(I now know that was a waste of
time)..

Not sure why it went on..But did notice today that my driverside belt
tensioner was jammed..Had to recline the seat to get it to
release..Not sure if that could have started the problem..But is there
a way to reset...Dealer tells me I"m about a month out...Also anyone
in Ma Southshore that could recommend a dealer or mechanic that can
reset same...Any help would realy be appreciated..Thanks in advance
